Set up the integration with your SMTP server to use the connected email for sending messages through the Jivo app. Below, we explain how to do this and provide an example of the data required to configure the functionality.

Attention: This feature is not intended for mass email sending. There is a limit to the number of messages sent. Please consult your email provider for more information about the restrictions.

To start, you need to connect your email as a communication channel. This can be done by following this guide. If the email is already connected, proceed to the next step.

Access the Jivo app in the section "Manage" > "Channels" > "Settings" next to the connected email channel:

Select the "SMTP settings" option and enter the necessary data in the indicated fields, then click "Connect":

At the end of the article, we list the configuration data for the most popular email services: Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo.

Choosing the Sending Address

You can send messages from your email address both in the Email channel and in the "Chat for Website" channel if the visitor provides their email address in the contact form.

When selecting "Email" in the dialogue window, the operator will see the sending address of the message.

If you have multiple email channels connected and configured with SMTP, the operator can select the desired address when sending the message.

Here’s how the email will appear to the client:

Note: The subject of the email cannot be customized. It is generated automatically and contains a message identifier.
